I would recommend any Hybrid, just the best in my opinion are the Prius, the Camry Crossed, and the Nissan Altima Hybrid.
The Altima is only available in 8 says, though, and Nissan is saying it has no immediate plans to introduce them to remainder of the US.
If you are going to purchase an American crossed, I think that the new Chevy Malibu hybrid is the best mix of mileage and looks.

I Am doing a report on hybrid cars in tutorial and i wish to make a comparison of MPG and other features of a hybrid car to a non hybrid car and wish to ccompare the hybrid against a high MPG non hybrid car. Please only tell me cars that are or were on the bazaar inside the ultimate 10 eld and no extra packages, only just the car straight from the factory.
