The scrap yard. Find a teeny econo car with a blown motor. Take it out and replace it with an electric motor (doesnt have to be a lot of HP because electric motors have more low end force) and batteries. You can probably find the electric motor within a scrap patio too, airplane generators make apt motors. If you find an industrial CVT, you can use a stepper motor to relocate the loop and the variable gears will control the speed for you, meet rig a “gas” pedal to move the belt back and forth, it’ll also automatically handle regenerative breaking (this was how the Urba Electric from the 70′s worked). If you find an ELEMENT motor, stare all for AN inverter where you can control the frequency and your speed control will just beryllium the frequency control (UPS’s enjoy inverters, look for an industrial one for much power). Be careful, some of those industrial electric motors are like 1,000 HP about ; you only demand about 20 to 50 HP (15 to 38 KW) .

    High-Perf Differentials, Axles, and Drivelines

    Features

    Goods Description
Every too regularly, when AN enthusiast builds a high-performance engine, swaps a more powerful engine into a car, or mounts sticky tires, the driveline components simply can’t handle the added torque and fail. In element, differential, axles, and driveline parts have a limited life span nether the pressure of a high-performance engine. Also, the proper wheel ratios need to be selected and installed for maximum performance against the street, strip, or track. The performance of the driveshaft, differential, axle, and other driveline components needs to match the performance level of a particular engine, so maximum efficiency, longevity, and reliability can metal realized.
This book covers everything you need to cognize about selecting the most desirable gear ratio, rebuilding differentials and other driveline components, and most importantly, matching the correct driveline components to engine power output. You ll learn how to set up a limited-slip differential, install high-performance axle shafts, swap retired differential gears, and select the best available products all for the driveline. This magazine covers the Chevy 12-bolt, Ford 9-inch, Danu units, and heaps other popular high-performance axles and back ends. In addition, it explains backside differential basics, rear differential housings, rebuilding the reverse differential for non-posi, limited-slip differentials, factory differentials, ring and pinion gears, axles, driveshafts, and U-joints.
